Annabelle Gurwitch
Annabelle Gurwitch, an American comedic actress and television host is best known for her time as hostess on Dinner and a Movie. In addition, she has been active in promoting environmental issues and humanism. Annabelle Gurwitch, a New York Times bestseller and an internationally acclaimed actor, was the New York Times's Bestselling author of her memoirs: In the Place You Are Then I'm Sure That You Did An Effort Said Tomato You Say Fired I say Shut Up and was fired. which was in turn a Showtime Comedy Special. Gurwitch is best known for her lengthy stint hosting TBS Dinner & a Movie. She also has been featured on shows such Better Things Boston Legal Seinfeld Dexter Murphy Brown. The shows she has appeared on regularly are on PBS Newhour Real Time Bill Maher or NPR. Additionally, she composes op-eds that are featured in the New York Times WSJ The Hollywood Reporter comedy series as well as to The New Yorker & McSweeneys. Her work as an actress on stage has secured her inclusion in the annual list of critics' top Ten Performances of the Year in both The New York and Los Angeles Times.
